Smoking Gun

verse:

Took a stare in a wrong direction

It was an out of bounds chained to my eye

And did you take the fall for attention?

Was it securing your place in line?

Falling out of a car takes strength

When you've got your friends to push you over the ledge

Took a stare in a wrong direction

Falling out of a car takes strength

chorus:

So there's your smoking gun

So there's your smoking gun

Why do you feel the need to hide it blind?

So there's your smoking gun

verse:

Seems to me that your life's on repeat

You're losing your friends

And you're shaking asleep

Taking

To fight an infection

It wouldn't be so bad

It wouldn't be there

chorus:

So there's your smoking gun

Why do you feel the need to hide it blind?

So there's your sense of wrong

Why do you feel the need to hide it blind?

 So there's your smoking gun

So there's your smoking gun

So there's your smoking gun

So there's your smoking gun

Why do you feel the need to hide it blind?

So there's your smoking gun

Daniel plays lead guitar and sings "Smoking Gun."  Derek is on bass, Alex on guitar #2 and Austin on drums, tambourine and shakers.  Matt Brown happened to be in The Jam Room the night Alex and Daniel were laying guitar tracks.  That's Matt who helped make that beautiful squealing, feedback featured on the bridge.

"Smoking Gun" was debuted in Tulsa, OK, in January 2005.
